This course highlights the American Diabetes Association’s (ADA) Standards 10 and 11 on Cardiovascular Disease and Chronic Kidney Disease Risk Management. Dr. Diana Isaacs kicks off the content, highlighting the importance of protecting kidney function along with cardiovascular risk reduction. She discusses the identification and prevention of renal and cardiovascular disease through pharmacologic and lifestyle interventions. A detailed review of medication therapy to treat hyperlipidemia and hypertension is included.

Diana Isaacs, PharmD, BCPS, BCACP, CDCES, BC-ADM, FADCES, FCCPCES, was awarded ADCES Diabetes Care and Educational Specialist of the Year for her educational platform promoting the use of CGM for people with diabetes and other innovations. She is the Director of Education & Training in Diabetes Technology at the Cleveland Clinic. She has numerous diabetes publications and research projects focusing on medications, CGM, and diabetes technology.
