Diabetes Education Services is an approved provider by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider 12640, and our CPEU courses have received Prior Approval* from the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR), Provider DI002.
Since our CPEU courses received Prior approval* from the CDR, these CPEU courses satisfy the CE requirements for the CDCES /BC-ADM regardless of your profession!
Taking the CDCES Exam?
Our CEs count toward the 15 CE requirements to sit for the exam! When applying to take the exam with the Certification Board for Diabetes Care & Education (CBDCE) you'll just need to select "CDR" or "Commission on Dietetic Registration" for your CE hours source.*
Renewing Your CDCES or BC-ADM certification?
Our CEs count towards the 75 CEs needed to renew your CDCES or BC-ADM for our courses/programs that have received Prior Approval through the CDR.*
Are you an RD or RN?
Our CEs count for RDs in all states, and in most states for RNs because of reciprocity agreements. Check with your state Licensing Board to see if there is a reciprocity agreement with California's BRN. RDs and RNs in California can use our CEs towards their professional hours continuing education requirement.
Are you a Pharmacist or Other Health Care Professional?
Pharmacists in California can count our CEs towards their professional hours continuing education requirement because of a reciprocity agreement between the California BRN and the California Board of Pharmacists. Pharmacists and other health care professionals in other states should check with their state Licensing Board to see if there is a reciprocity agreement with California's BRN or the CDR.
Since we are not directly an approved provider through the NABP, Pharmacists need to self-report their CE hours.
*Most programs and courses have Prior Approval from the CDR. Any course or webinar listed without CEs/CPEUs will not have Prior Approval and cannot count towards RD, CDCES, or BC-ADM CE/CPEU requirements.
The use of DES products does not guarantee the successful passage of the certification exam. CBDCE and ADCES do not endorse any preparatory or review materials for the CDCES or BC-ADM exams, except for those published by CBDCE & ADCES.
